Dry Pipe Fire Sprinkler SystemsSuperior Fire is a licensed contractor for Dry Pipe Fire Sprinkler System Inspection, Installation & Repair
A dry pipe sprinkler system has pipes which are filled with nitrogen or pressurized air, rather than water. In regions using NFPA regulations, wet pipe systems cannot be installed unless the range of ambient temperatures remains above 40 °F (4 °C). The pressurized air or gas holds a remote dry-pipe valve. The valve prevents water from entering the pipe network until a fire causes the fire sprinkler, or sprinklers, to operate. Once tripped the air rapidly vacates and water will being to flow like a regular wet pipe system.
